I really consolidate it with the Marie Kondo strategy. In addition to the fact that it is a basic, visual strategy that you can impart to family, it's a culture that keeps your life centered and peaceful.- Luciana Paulise, nimble quality mentor, Beaumont, TXStrip a space to its least complex formI like stripping down a space to its easiest structure: an agreeable household item, lighting that suits what you'll be doing, a solitary stem of something excellent - like a casablanca lily or a trailing ivy plant - and as meager customized mess as conceivable to keep the vitality moving openly. I utilize similar components of magnificence in each room I plan. Shading enchantment is first, as each shading has its own impact: orange is for mental fortitude, blue is for mending, green is for thriving, and yellow is for correspondence. Diffusers with basic oils are an unquestionable requirement: lavender or frankincense to quiet, lime or grapefruit to rouse, bergamot or lemon to scrub. - Jo-Anna Silver-Sparta, Communications Connector, Berlin/Cannes/New YorkPut things in their pla ceI'm lucky that my beau and I both aversion mess, so we put forth an attempt to keep our space flawless and clean. The key for us has been this one basic standard: a spot for everything and everything in its place. We don't permit things to accumulate on counters or tables. At the point when we new things enter our home, we choose where to put them promptly, and if there's no legitimate zone to do as such, we cleanse and make space. I take a couple of moments when I return home to do some straightforward things which help me unwind, go home behind, and become my 'at home' self with my family or companions. Choose what your one of a kind needs are. I like lighting scented candles around the house utilizing delightful, long matches, so that even the demonstration of striking them is a piece of the experience. Next, I clean any things that have been dumped in my haven (just into a 'to do' heap somewhere else for the proprie tors of said things to manage). I full the couch pads and get out a heap of delicate covers for whoever likes to twist up, and put music on low volume. There's additionally a lot of incredible books to peruse if the extravagant takes me, and lavish hand cream close enough. These straightforward things make a situation where I can unwind and we can meet up naturally.- Melanie Yates, advanced organization office director, Brighton, UKLet straightforwardness take focus stageAbout 15 years back, my better half and I rebuilt a frail Victorian house. Since Victorians are, by definition, loaded with subtleties and are along these lines to some degree outwardly jumbled, we decided to smooth out our refurbishing procedure however much as could be expected. We painted all the dividers white, utilized just white shades for our light apparatuses, and adhered to a palette of common woods, dark, dim, and flies of blue and naval force. We restricted examples on carpets and upholstered furniture. T his straightforwardness causes us feel quiet, and value the complex embellishment and subtleties of the house without feeling overpowered or troubled by them.- Francesca Moroney, essayist, Edwardsville, ILTurn your washroom into an at-home spaI treat my whole home like my asylum. I accept that if your space is a wreck, it mirrors your contemplations being a wreck. In view of that, I keep my home clean and fill it just with the things I love (counting numerous candles and pictures of fun recollections with loved ones). I organize my resting propensities, so I put resources into great sheet material. At the point when I'm very much refreshed, I work better in all parts of my life. I transformed my washroom into an at-home spa experience, balancing new eucalyptus on the showerhead to draw out the fragrance with the high temp water and steam. This is incredible for clearing your head and respiratory framework. I additionally have a plenty of shower oils, going from lavender oil for unwi nding to peppermint oil for vitality. I retreat to my hand crafted spa as often as possible to enjoy some genuinely necessary self-care.- Heather Reinhardt, self esteem enthusiast, Los Angeles, CAMake your room a cocoonMy room is the one room in my home that I generally keep clean with the goal that it remains my asylum, and won't cause me stress! I have never placed a TV in my room, despite the fact that I here and there watch something on my iPad (which is uncommon). My bedding is delicate and agreeable, and feels like a case. Finally, I generally have some great books on my end table - both fiction and true to life/business books - and I utilize a wise diffuser with a lavender aroma to enable me to unwind. At the point when it's an ideal opportunity to hit the hay or when I need to slow down, I realize that I have an unwinding, peaceful space to rest, dream and rest soundly.- Kathryn Djordjevic, drug specialist, Toronto, CanadaBring a space to existence with fragrance and flowers Here's a straightforward, simple tip: I use lemongrass oil in a fragrant healing light to inspire the entire air of the space. I likewise prefer to keep new blossoms in the room with the goal that life turns into a concentration and we require less of lifeless ornamental things.- Dr. Rizvana Patel, Ayurvedic specialist, Pune, IndiaCreate a 'Zen Zone' I've made a 'Zen Zone' in an extra room with a little love seat which fills in as a visitor bed when the need emerges. It gives me a space to twist up and read a book (or sleep) when I have to unwind and energize. I've utilized quieted pastels and earth tones for stylistic layout. As indicated by Feng Shui standards, this room is situated in my 'relationship' corner, so I decided to include pink as my complement shading. Notwithstanding candles and incense to touch off my faculties, I've joined a Himalayan salt light to help keep th e vitality liberated.- Mina Fies, Zen remodeler, Reston, VAThis article initially showed up on Thrive Global. You may likewise appreciate⦠New neuroscience uncovers 4 ceremonies that will satisfy you Outsiders know your social class in the initial seven words you state, study finds 10 exercises from Benjamin Franklin's every day plan that will twofold your efficiency The most exceedingly terrible errors you can make in a meeting, as per 12 CEOs 10 propensities for intellectually resilient individuals

Be that as it may, utilizing caught German structures (and now and then researchers), U.S. furthermore, Soviet militaries were creating rockets equipped for conveying fatal weapons rapidly and dependably. A similar innovation could be utilized to convey an item into Earth circle. The Importance of Having an Opinion at Work

In the work environment, its additionally accommodating to see all edges of an issue. Prior in my vocation, I worked in technique jobs. My inside clients, as it were, were C-level administrators. At the point when I shared my thoughts, I attempted to stay adjusted, introducing the two sides of the contention. I needed to be fair in my methodology. Be that as it may, one official I worked for needed to know my thoughts. On different events, he would ask me, But Angela, what do you truly think about this issue? He once told me I was the main worker hed had whose genuine belief he couldnt surmise. As it were, this felt better. I was isolating the business and the individual. Throughout the years, Ive discovered this isn't generally the best methodology. As of late, something happened to help me to remember this point. Ive been working with a shrewd individual to help me on an undertaking. The individual is a specialist in a region I think nothing about. I regard their experience and viewpoints. When the time had come to settle on a choice, I asked the individual, What do you think about this? The individual reacted with, Well, I for the most part make an effort not to impact my customers with my own assessments. There are sure occasions in your profession when youre got to take a shot at a task since you find out about a specific subject than any other person in the room. At the point when that occurs, its opportunity to impart your insight. Its chance to have considerations dependent on your past encounters. To a certain extent, its alright to have predispositions at that time. The inclination you have is your previous experience controlling you â" past experience that no one else in the room has. Dont misunderstand me. There are times busy working when your manager is simply searching for somebody to finish an assignment. In those minutes, theyre not searching for input, proposals, or upgrades. Be that as it may, when youre recruited to be an advisor, a specialist, or an elevated level mastermind, you ought to have an assessment. Your sentiment will direct your customer to progress. It will take them to a level that they wouldnt have the option to reach all alone. Thats why they employed you. On the off chance that they were simply searching for a catch pusher, theyd discover somebody less expensive to do the activity. So stand up and make some noise. At the point when its your chance to have a conclusion, have one. What's more, in the event that you dont have one for a particular explanation, clarify that. Companies that consider these touch points when engaging the candidate take into the account important components that aid in candidate selection: information available about the company, transparency when it comes to culture as well as the hiring process, online activities including social media and their presence both online and offline. Personally, I like United Healthcares site as it gets my attention. Another page may resonate with you for a completely different reason. When it comes to career pages, here are the trends we are seeing in the marketplace. (click here to view PotentiaParks 2013 report) Only 16% of the 694 career pages incorporated mobile into their career page. Mobile is still a new territory and with multi-screen sharing becoming an important part of consumer marketing, expert companies to consider this in building their recruitment strategies going forward. 61% of job seekers expert employers to be on Facebook. While Facebook doesnt yet fully offer a robust search even with their social graph, job seekers are using Facebook to connect, research, and engage. The expectation is that employers should also be on Facebook.com. Email remains as powerful engagement tool. Last years findings found that 69% of job seekers like to apply for a job with email. Proving that engaging candidates on many channels focusing on what I call touch points is essential to continued engagement with the job seeker that leads to establishing a relationship and filling a position. Which career page grabbed your attention and would most likely compel you to apply? I look forward to your thoughts and congratulations to our the top 30 online career pages. Job well done. Also listed here below are the top mobile sites. While only a small number of employers are leveraging the power of mobile, this is a trend I see continuing.

How to create a CV that impresses, in 7.4 seconds!
How to create a CV that impresses, in 7.4 seconds! Its fair to say that the job market will be more challenging than most this year. In this period of uncertainty, the economic impact of the coronavirus means that the number of opportunities available this year is likely to be lower than in previous years. Applications will be even more competitive, so how can you make yours standout? Andrew Fennell, the founder of CV writing advice website StandOut CV is a former recruitment consultant and contributes careers advice to websites like Business Insider, The Guardian and FastCompany. Here, he offers seven tips to make an impression in 7.4 seconds! If this was a CV, and you were a recruiting manager, youâd be deciding, right about now, whether this CV goes to the bin or continues to be read. That doesnât give you long to make an impactful impression. Youve got less than 10 seconds! A fascinating eye tracking study by Ladders, revealed that recruiters spend just 7.4 seconds looking at an application. This in itself is incredibly valuable information but the study actually revealed more. Those 7.4 seconds arenât spent reading from the top of the CV. Actually those 7.4 seconds are spent scanning, pulling out key points. For graduates, who are new to CV writing, this in invaluable information. Armed with this knowledge, you can follow this advice to make the most of those 7.4 seconds. How can you make your CV impress quickly? There are a number of different strategies you need to apply when writing a CV to impress in a snapshot. 1. Top-loading Recent graduates often make the mistake of getting the order of their CV wrong. They focus on their education, and move chronologically from oldest to newest. While the eye-tracking study shows that the recruiters scan, rather than read, they do still spend the majority of their time at the top of the first page. So you need to make sure the top of your CV packs the most powerful punch. It needs to be captivating, showcase the highlights and make the recruiter keen to find out more. 2. Make it scanning-friendly Youâll know from attempting to digest tonnes of course notes, some writing is easier to scan than others. Make your CV really easy to scan by having plenty of white space, use clear simple fonts, and use bold to pull out key points and titles. 3. Head left The study revealed that recruiters concentrate most of their attention on the left hand side of a CV when scanning. Make sure that you play to this with clear short titles on the left. 4. Stay snappy As a recent graduate, you may be concerned that you donât actually have enough information to populate your CV. But youâre actually at an advantage here. Experienced professionals often fall foul of trying to cram too much into their CV. You can still list most of your relevant experience and skills without taking up copious amounts of space. But keep things on point. 5. Avoid chunks of text If you include a bio, it is important how you do it. Itâs not an essay! Instead, jot down what you really want to include. Now ditch any clichés and focus on what is unique to you, and relevant to the roles you are applying for. Make the bio short, using bold to make declarative statements or words stand out. Bullet points can work brilliantly. Take the same approach to anywhere else where there is a temptation to write in paragraph format. Overall, donât exceed two pages of A4. 6. Focus on achievements When you put down your work history, you may be tempted to write about the duties of the role. This is a pitfall. You do better to write about what you excelled at within that role. This can apply to any work experience, no matter how mundane. For example, letâs say you are listing bar work whilst applying for an office role. Instead of listing your responsibilities, you can perhaps state that you implemented a new system making busy times more efficient; were always relied on to do a specific task; or maybe that you demonstrated excellent people skills showcased by loyal customers asking for you. 7. Keep it relevant As well as thinking about what you have to offer, think about the role that youâre after. Your CV needs to be relevant. Point 6 above will help you showcase your experience in the most relevant way. You can also go through the job description to reveal what the employer is looking for. Go through your CV and make sure that those points stand out. You may find that this means you need to tailor your CV to specific positions. 7.4 seconds? It is possible With some time and care it is possible to create a CV that wins the attention of the recruiting manager within 7.4 seconds. If you succeed, theyâll then take their time looking at the CV in more detail.

4 Goals Your Cover Letter Introduction Should Accomplish

However, the introductory letter presentation might be slightly progressively noteworthy basically in light of the fact that it functions as the snare to bait in your perusers, urging them to become familiar with you. To ensure that your presentation carries out its responsibility, investigate four objectives each introductory letter presentation ought to achieve. 1. Promote Your Skills and Accomplishments Promoting your abilities and achievements at an opportune time in an introductory letter functions admirably to arouse the curiosity of recruiting chiefs. This is on the grounds that many are more interested by introductions that start with: Searching enthusiastically for a top-level official culinary expert with 20 years of café, gambling club, and inn experience? Look no further!â" as opposed to: I need to thank you for the chance to go after the official culinary specialist job. Competitors have discovered that directors react all the more readily to the innovative presentation that rundowns reasons they ought to be recruited. Remember this idea as you compose your own. 2. Pinpoint Challenges You Want to Address In the main sentence, youve likely addressed the subsequent objective, which is to pinpoint difficulties you need to address with the organization. Be that as it may, it is anything but an impractical notion to do it once more. You don't need to discuss explicit difficulties in the presentation; this can be put something aside for later in the letter. However, you can address objectives that any organization in the field may face and why you need to handle them. In all honesty, this can be practiced in two brief sentences that read something like this: Every café faces its difficulties in client care, staff and spending the board, and food execution. I am anxious to steer with XYZ Restaurant and steer business the correct way. 3. Clarify Why Youre the Right Fit Next, its critical to clarify why youre an ideal choice for the position. You can do this by taking note of that the organization needs a certified contender to meet its plan, at that point list three or four reasons why youre the certified applicant it needs. The thought is to come to the heart of the matter of why youre the ideal fit. No steering clear of the real issue permittedâ"in light of the fact that employing chiefs essentially dont have the opportunity to look for the message youre attempting to convey. 4. Lure the Reader to Keep Reading At long last, you will probably tell the peruser that your presentation is just the start and that you have more to offer. For example, by expressing, I accept its never past the point where it is possible to create methodologies that lead an eatery to significance, and I am prepared to use my drawn out understanding, instinct, and commitment to take care of business, you could effectively persuade an administrator to continue perusing. The introductory letter acquaintance fills in as the hors d'oeuvre with an awesome feast. Dont you need your starter to be extraordinary? Well set aside effort to deliberately develop a presentation that has employing directors needing more. Marianne Cantwells Free Range Humans
Marianne Cantwellâs Free Range Humans Book Reviews Marianne Cantwellâs Free Range Humans * What if you could do work you loved, on your own terms, from anywhere in the world? What if you had someone on hand to guide you, who had not only done this themselves, but also helped thousands of others to do it too? AND, what if this person was straight-up fun to hang out with and learn from? Does that sound a bit too good to be true? Well, itâs your lucky day. Marianne Cantwell works from her laptop. One month sheâs in London, the next sheâs hanging out on a beach in Bali, and the next sheâs on a boat off the Australian coast. Wherever she is, sheâs working on a business she loves: helping others to escape the âcareer cageâ of employment and start making money from their passions -- on their own terms. Whether you want to travel the world or just have more time at home with your kids, Free Range Humans can help you get there. Free Range Humans is Marianneâs first book, but sheâs holding nothing back. This is a full-tilt, comprehensive guide that takes you step-by-step through the process of pinpointing your business idea, quitting the career cage and living a free-range life. Whatever questions you might have about Free Range living and working, the answers are in here somewhere. What do you have to offer the world? Why is a free-range lifestyle more secure than the career cage? How do you go about branding yourself? Do you need a business plan? How should you set your prices? Marianne skillfully balances big personal development questions with acute business savvy, crafting a masterful and holistic examination of what it really takes to have a business and a life you love. Her writing style is light-hearted and friendly, but the content packs a punch with every sentence. Reading her words feels like hanging out with a close friend; the kind who makes you laugh one second and then delivers a hard-hitting truth the next. You know youâre talking to a real expert when they can explain a complicated concept in simple English -- and itâs clear from her relaxed, conversational style that Marianne really knows her stuff. Free Range Humans is multimedia, too! In true location-independent style, in many chapters youâll find scannable QR codes, which take you to extra online resources. These, combined with the simple exercises in each chapter, make the experience interactive and all about you. If youâve read widely on the subjects of location independence, startups and career-change, much of the content in this book will be familiar territory to you. However, Free Range Humans brings it all together in a succinct and focused style, making it one of the best resources available for potential career renegades anywhere. Our Top Takeaways Having an employer does not make you safer: When youâre employed by someone else, your livelihood is in their hands, not yours. Your job security is dependent on their business decisions and their financial savvy. âFor most people, employment is the equivalent of being self-employed with only one client (your employer). And as any business expert will tell you, being 100 per cent dependent on one client, in a turbulent market, is a very risky business. If they get into trouble, there goes your incomeâ. You donât need a business plan, you need a business: Business plans are great ways to waste time: you research for months, write and research some more, and all that time could have been spent road-testing your idea in the real world. The truth is, you learn most about your business from the people who are using your product or service -- so if you donât have customers, youâre stabbing in the dark. Youâre better off just getting started: aim to make your first £50 as soon as possible, and then tweak as you go. Itâs far easier to make small adjustments to a small business than it is to explain to your five-figure-funders why things donât look the way they did in your business plan (which took you a year to write, was based on other peopleâs businesses rather than your own, and is now totally useless). Give the âbeige armyâ respectful space: The âbeige armyâ are the people in every Free Rangerâs life who are dismissive/disbelieving/critical of the life youâre trying to build. Theyâre scared of what youâre doing, so they do their best to make you feel small, naive, and attempt to undermine your dreams with critical words and sneers. Rather than wasting energy trying to prove them wrong, agonising over their attitudes or doubting yourself, simply acknowledge them for what they are and carry on. Listen to what they have to say, speak with integrity and commitment to what you believe in, and keep taking action towards the life you want to live. âThis isnât about winning an ideological battle with a group of terrified people. Itâs about getting around the big, critical blob of a barrier in your way so that you can live your own life.â

My Editorial Content Calendar planning template is the perfect system and this video will tell you how to block your time to efficiently create content. Todays Action Step: Block 1-2 hours of time and fill out the editorial calendar. See how much content you can create in that period of time. You should be able to get at least 1-2 weeks of 1-2 posts per day ready to go. Dont have the blogs or images you want to use? Dont worry, well fill that in next. If you dont know what youre going to put in a particular content slot, make sure you put a TBD Theme Hold (ex: Link to Product. Link to Blog) so you can remember to go back and update. LinkedIn Is the Key to Your Next Job - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career If youâre in transition and looking for a job or you contemplate changing jobs, thereâs nothing more powerful than learning how to be efficient at using the power of LinkedIn. Being listed on LinkedIn is a must. A study by Microsoft revealed that 70 percent of employers have rejected job candidates because of information they found on those candidates online. Yet the same study suggests that 85 percent of employers say a positive online reputation influences their decision. Those are pretty convincing numbers. Here are some facts: Recruiters and employers prefer dealing with applicants they can check out and trust. People spend more time on social media than on e-mail. LinkedIn is in the social media for business. The Internet can make or break your image. The power of LinkedIn lies in the fact that you can connect with people who influence decision making regarding whom to hire. In turn, you, too, can research the company youâre targeting, the hiring manager there, and also the culture of the company. Sixty percent of the hiring decision is based on the candidateâs fit into the companyâs culture. By joining professional and alumni groups on LinkedIn, you can participate in online discussions as well as answer questions, thus becoming prominentâ"and even, possibly, viewed as an expert. Companies love hiring experts! Additionally, recruiters scour professional groups in search of experts. You should join active groups to become visible online. When youâre in transition, itâs important to know the right people but also important that they know you and that they get reminded of what youâre looking for. Therefore, itâs advisable to invite people to connect with you on LinkedIn. When you send an invitation, personalize your message; donât just use the default LinkedIn invitation. Address the person by name, include a reminder about the commonality between you or mention how you came across the personâs name, state your intent, and then ask whether the person would be willing to connect with you. When looking for opportunities, go to the home page, and on the upper right-hand corner, click on the Advanced option. Then type in a keyword and customize the screen to your circumstances. From that list, select and invite the people you want to connect with.

How to Talk About Blog Post Writing in Resume Writing
How to Talk About Blog Post Writing in Resume WritingHow to talk about blog post writing in resume writing is a common question for many job seekers and those looking to enter the workforce. In reality, some forms of the writing can get really boring or can even ruin the reader's perspective when reading about it. This is why most resume writers often seek out resume tips on how to help in addressing this issue.Resume writing usually starts off with a personal mission statement. Many people also seek tips on how to talk about blog post writing in resume writing. However, there are actually two types of personal missions that will be talked about. One of these is addressing the hiring company by addressing your employer by name or by adding you in your portfolio. Some resume examples might show a series of beautiful pictures that highlight your success in one way or another. You can also opt to use inspiring words in your resume, which may not necessarily involve the hiring company by name. Instead, they are going to show how you went about being successful in your career. Most employers have a keen interest in whether you care about the company and the people who work for them as much as you care about yourself. The best ways of talking about this is to get into a few choices and to call out on a few accomplishments you have done in your career. You can also ask yourself questions that will lead you to being productive. The most important part of resumes is to help get the applicant prepared. Some questions to ask yourself are how many books have I read and if they have helped me? What kinds of things have I done to promote my profession or something I feel passionate about? If you are good at anything, you can show your passion by using a few words to paint a picture.Another way of speaking about your past experiences is to choose some specific examples or stories that will show your skills you have. Do you have any certifications or anything that show you have a cquired from experience? Can you name a certain publication? Any articles you have written about a particular topic can help you a lot with how to talk about blog post writing in resume writing. While writing about your life and achievements, you can also use examples to show your desire to be a good leader. Another type of story or a choice can help you strengthen the references you have provided to the hiring company. The last part of a resume is the objectives section. All of your goals, projects, awards, and personal objectives must be present in this part.It is your resume's opportunity to capture the attention of the hiring company. You can do this by choosing the right words, using examples that will give your readers an idea of how you are able to do what you want to do. Finally, you can ask your employer for your resume samples. They can either be helpful when preparing or not, so you need to think carefully about how to talk about blog post writing in resume writing.

Betty White Relevant and Employable at Age 90
Betty White Relevant and Employable at Age 90 At age 88 Betty White had a leading role in the TV show Hot in Cleveland, a memorable Snickers commercial that first aired during the Superbowl, and a guest host spot on Saturday Night Live. And in the two years that have followed, Betty White continues to be everywhere and the job offers dont seem to be slowing down. Today is Betty Whites 90th birthday and shes still working. And I think this is a testament to her relevance. Her age hasnt held her back because she continues to be able to play roles that people young and old can relate to and appreciate. In job search, people sometimes assume that they will be discriminated against because of their age. But I think that some candidates get passed up for others because they lack relevance. Maybe they dont mesh well with the culture of a company with a demographic that skews younger, or their management style isnt in sync with the needs of their younger subordinates. Perhaps their skills arent up to date or they are resistant to incorpo rate relevant social media and collaborative web-based project management tools into the way they do their job.Perhaps we can all take a lesson from Betty White. Because whether you are 25, 35, 45, 55, or older you wont be the right person for the job if you cant prove you are relevant to a prospective employers needs.Check out my earlier tribute to Betty White and 5 tips for remaining relevant in your career on AOL Jobs.

Top 5 Royal Marines Commando Interview Questions and Answers
Top 5 Royal Marines Commando Interview Questions and Answers During the Royal Marines Commando selection process, youâll need to pass an interview. Here, weâve compiled the top 5 Royal Marines Commando Interview Questions and Answers to give you the edge in your interview preparation.Question 1: Tell me about a time when you have contributed to the effective working of a team.Suggested Answer: âI like to keep fit and healthy and as part of this aim I play football for a local Sunday team. We had worked very hard to get to the cup final and we were faced with playing a very good opposition team who had recently won the league title. The team consisted of eleven players who regularly spend time together during training sessions and at social events. After only ten minutes of play, one of our players was sent off and we conceded a penalty as a result. One goal down and 80 minutes left to play we had a mountain to climb. However, we all remembered our training and worked very hard in order to prevent any more goals being scored. Due to playin g with ten players, I had to switch positions and play as a defender, something that I am not used to. Apart from being a defender I felt my role was to encourage the other players to keep going and to not give up until the final whistle had sounded. All the other players supported each other tremendously and the support of the crowd really pushed us on. The team worked brilliantly to hold off any further opposing goals and after 60 minutes we managed to get an equaliser. The game went to penalties in the end and we managed to win the cup. I believe I am an excellent team player and can always be relied upon to work as an effective team member at all times. I understand that being an effective team member is very important if the Royal Marines are to continually perform to a very high standard. However, above all of this, effective teamwork is essential in order to maintain the high safety standards that are set.âQuestion 2: Do you have any experience of working as a team member? â " Royal Marines Commando Interview Questions and AnswersSuggested Answer: âYes, I have many yearsâ experience of working in a team environment. To begin with, I have been playing rugby for my local team for the last three years. We worked really hard together improving our skills over the course of last season. We managed to win the league.I am also very much involved in teamwork in my current job. I work as a nurse at the local hospital. In order for the ward to function correctly, we must work effectively as a team. My job is to check all of the patients at the beginning of my shift and also make sure that we have enough medical supplies to last the duration. It is then my responsibility to inform the ward sister that the checks have been carried out. She will then obtain more supplies if we need them.We have to work very closely together for many hours. We all pull together whenever the going gets tough. I enjoy working in a team environment and feel comfortable whilst worki ng under pressure.âBusiness people speaking during interview in their officeQuestion 3: Do you enjoy working in a team environment?Suggested Answer:âIn a previous role I worked as part of a 30-strong sales team. I really enjoyed the atmosphere within that team and managed to learn so much from other members. I enjoy working in a team environment but conversely my adaptability allows me to work in any environment. Moreover, I would say that I can work either as one of a team or an individual depending on the requirements of the role. While working as part of a team, then I will always listen carefully to the provided brief by my officer-in-command, stay in communication with the other team members, support those people who need supporting in the team. I will also learn from any mistakes that the team makes so that we can improve next time.I can remember one particular occasion when I worked as part of a team. Sales figures for the month were low. We worked as a team in order to g enerate new business leads. We all came together as a team and discussed the different options available to us. My role within the team was to source potential new clients over a two-week period. Others sent out promotional materials once I had created the new leads. As a team we managed to increase sales and revenue by 50% in just a short space of time.âQuestion 4: Give an example of when you have had to work as a team. â" Royal Marines Commando Interview Questions and AnswersSuggested Answer: âI have had lots of experience to date working as part of a team. In my current role as a bricklayer I have been working on a project with many other skilled workers and labourers. The project involves building ten new houses within a three-month period. We are now half-way through the project and it is running smoothly and on time.During this particular project I have been required to work with people who I did not know before the start of the build. This has not been a problem for me a s I have no issue with working with anyone, regardless of who they are. I always start off by introducing myself to the rest of the team. Additionally, I also ask the other team members to introduce themselves. This acts as a bit of an ice-breaker and it gets everyone talking. At the start of each working day we listen carefully to the brief provided by the foreman. As we work through the tasks set by the foreman we communicate with each other clearly so that everyone knows what is going on and whereabouts we all are with the project. If anyone in the building team starts to slow up we all gather round to help them catch up. As a team member I am always focused on the end goal. Also, I work very hard to carry out my job meticulously and diligently.âQuestion 5: What would you do if a member of your team was not pulling their weight or doing their job effectively?Suggested Answer: âI would first of all ask them if there was anything wrong, or if there was anything I could do to sup port them. The member of the team might be having personal issues. If this was the case, I would want to support them and help them through it. If it was simply a case of them being lazy, then I would take immediate action to stop it. I would take them to one side and tactfully point out to them how important their role was within the team. Then, I would inform them that without their full attention on the task in hand we would not succeed. I would also consider discipline procedures if appropriate and/or remedial training.â This entry was posted in Interviews, Job Competencies. Bookmark the permalink.
